"Best Driver Training Company My husband and I both attended a 1-2-1 with Cat Driving Training on 21st Nov 2021 for 2.5 days. I truly enjoyed my training and walked away understanding the WHY & HOW. However, our experience at Millbrook started 2 years ago with a different training company who is a sole trader in himself. I had 1.5 days with him at the same training ground in Millbrook (UTAC), but after my training finished, there were still a lot of areas I didn't understand and I walked away thinking I am a rubbish driver with further lack of confidence in myself. We decided to give Millbrook a second try as the facility there is simply mind blowing, this time I found "Cat Driver Training", I spoke with Jo on many occasions prior to our booking and explained that I am not confident at all after my last training there with the other company. Jo explained the different types of training courses in detail and the difference in their instructor's background and knowledge, so we decided to booked. My first 2 full days was with Steve, he is extremely friendly and totally customer focused, he understood my lack of confidence. Steve further took note that English was not my first language as I explained if he uses too many technical worlds, I won't understand. On the second day I was able to do the line required on the handling circuit without much of his input at good speed, I guess Steve was as surprised as I was! I forever remember him saying to me "who said you are rubbish driver" after the handling circuit was the biggest boost to my confidence I can get. My last half day with Paul was equally fun, especially as I have never driven a Caterham 7 before, it was hard work but fun. Everything set up at the wet circuit was excellent with exit route plan. Although I was nervous being on my own in the Caterham instead of having Paul next to me, but Paul gave me short and clear instructions that I can follow. The outcome of the past 2.5 days with Cat Driver training taught me to read the road and understand my car limit that I never knew I was capable of feeling.
