Centrally located in Bedfordshire, we are in between junction 12 and 13 of the M1, above Luton, below Milton Keynes/Bedford.

Our training base since CAT began in 2005, our long-standing relationship with the facility reflects our mutual passion for putting safety & customer service first.

WHY UTAC?

An automotive testing facility, circuits are designed for testing vehicles. Consequently the surfaces excite the vehicle: the suspension; the wheel; the tyre on the road; & its body. 

Making the car work means the driver has to manage the car.

Just as a language translator gives the understanding of a foreign language, our unique expertise explains the physical signals your car gives you throughout your body. 

Authentic engineers, our vehicle dynamic knowledge translates the various dynamic happenings of a vehicle: roll rates; spring & damper movement into the physical experience you are sensing, but maybe not understanding. 

Freeze framing moments on the circuits, your learning is accelerated.  You will interrogate what the car did & how you felt, relate this back to your driver input, & then go again.

By understanding the dynamic happenings, you are now united with your car, as one.

MILE STRAIGHT

The ideal circuit for learning how to master braking techniques for road, track & race.

Circuit use is one on, one off – allowing you to concentrate solely on perfecting your technique.

HANDLING CIRCUIT

It is whatever we want it to be:

• a fast A road
• a selection of track day corners
• it mimics a race circuit

A gem in UTAC's crown.  Engineering surfaces that dynamically challenge both car & driver – there’s nothing like it anywhere in the UK.

High Speed Circuit

The unique 5 lane motorway style circuit – a 2 mile circle with banked corners, 24° in lane 5, allowing safe high speed driving.

In the lower lanes explore fundamental advanced car control techniques.

Alpine Loops

UTAC’s Alpine Loops 1, 2 & 3 – the best B road in the UK. As a trained Nurburgring pool driver, I am qualified to confirm this mimics the Nordschleife. Every radius of bend, change of camber, change of surface & change of gradient creates an exceptional learning experience.

DYNAMICS & STEERING PADS

There’s a multitude of learning on the expansive circuit of UTAC’s Dynamics & Steering Pads.  Active driver aids exploration, over grip limit driving, management of understeer & oversteer, skid control to the mastery of drifting.

RACE CIRCUITS

UTAC's Millbrook Proving Ground allows you to explore circuit driving techniques on dedicated individual circuits. 

The benefit to you being accelerated safe learning in a professional safe environment. 

Having explored, developed & advanced your technique, you now head to the race circuit to utilise this environment to meet your circuit focused driving objectives for track days or competitive motorsport.
