"THE" full racing experience - CAT DT C1 24 Hour Endurance Race Now that some, not all of the dust has settled from the most amazing driving experience I've ever had with the CAT Driver Training as that dust is going to take a long time to settle after competing and completing the Citroen C1 24 hour endurance race at Silverstone from 26th to 28th April, what else can I say other than 'Thank you!!' for letting me be take part in this fantastic event with the Team. Coming into this as a total novice in the racing world, the time, patience and guidance from Colin and the team meant that I was lifted from the world of self doubt of 'can I actually do this and not let people down?' to being an integral part of the team and being part of a competitive team that crossed the finish line after 24 hard fought hours. In an environment where no one can hear you scream as there were no communications allowed in the car, using every ounce of Colin's racing knowledge that was programmed into me meant I could tackle the full Silverstone GP circuit in a competitive way and post competitive times to help the team climb the leader board and being able to 'hear' Colin in my head was key to my success and achievement during the weekend. The whole experience has been worth every single penny I've parted with and given me so many more skills to use in my day job as a vehicle Type Approval Engineer and vehicle evaluator. From feeling happy with the environment and just driving the Citroen to finally understanding the requirements of getting the car competitively round the track using every available ounce of grip and then going into over-grip limits control in order to extract as much performance from myself and the car which progressed from each of the track days that we did prior to the race, final testing, qualifying and then the actual race itself.. Colin and the CAT DT C1 endurance team have shared their innermost secrets of race car control and brought something out of me that I was never 100% sure I could achieve - and I would recommend spending time with them if you want to get better and faster in your racing dreams. There is only one Driver Training Company as far as I'm concerned - and it is CAT every day of every week of every year!! Thank you for enabling me to achieve a very special dream that I now want more of!!!"
